A broad coalition of patients, healthcare providers, civil rights and community leaders oppose Prop 44
because it will harm millions of patients by shutting down hundreds of community health clinics
and force clinics to cut back on vital patient services.

SCFHC’s Vision Center provides comprehensive eye care services to help patients of all ages maintain healthy vision. From routine eye exams to the diagnosis and management of eye conditions, our team is committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care.

In partnership with the Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University, the Vision Center also hosts fourth-year optometry student interns through the SCCO Clinical Outreach Program. Working alongside our experienced providers, interns gain hands-on experience providing comprehensive eye exams, managing a variety of eye conditions, educating patients, and coordinating specialty referrals.

Their dedication not only enhances the care our patients receive but also helps prepare the next generation of compassionate optometrists to serve communities in need. We extend our sincere thanks to our volunteer interns for their commitment, compassion, and service to our patients and community.

SCFHC’s Behavioral Health team conducted outreach to raise awareness about mental health, reduce stigma, and connect community members to behavioral health services. Our team engaged with the community through our monthly food distributions in South LA and Huntington Park, as well as tabling events in South LA and other local community events.

May this holiday season bring you joy, and the coming year be filled with health, happiness, and hope.
